SATKĀRA: Held in Devotion
A return to self through ritual, devotion & rest
11-16 June Portugal
Satkāra is a gentle call to honour and tend—
to step out of the noise and into a space where you can meet yourself exactly as you are, with tenderness, presence, and care.
This retreat is an embodiment of the Mother—an invitation to be deeply held.
Held as you begin to listen more profoundly.
Held as you start to unravel and reconnect.
Held as you remember.
Across five nights and six days, you will be welcomed into a slower pace and a more devotional way of being, where life itself, in both the beautiful and the mundane, becomes ceremony.
This is not about fixing, changing, or resolving, but rather about welcoming the fullness of your experience as it is—in all of its nuance and complexity—so that you can enter into a deeper, more honest conversation with life.
Together, we'll soften the edges of that meeting.
Through embodied practice, reflection, rest, and the shared experience of sangha, we'll begin to reimagine discipline, not as something rigid or forceful, but as a devotional way of being, woven through the small, joyful acts that return us, again and again, to that which is authentic and true.
SATKĀRA = reverence | respect | sincere devotion.
A living reverence that feels meaningful to us and that contributes to our growth, and joyful engagement with the world.

the venue
This retreat will take place at the gorgeous Serra Vida Retreat Centre, nestled in a beautiful valley with the Sever River flowing through 8 hectares of untouched, raw nature in Portugal’s lush Serra de São Mamede National Park.
Serra Vida is a space intentionally created for slowing down — where simplicity, nature, and thoughtful design come together to support deep rest and reconnection.
Surrounded by rolling hills, wild landscapes, and the gentle rhythm of the river, it offers a sense of quiet spaciousness that allows you to truly exhale. Life here moves at a different pace — one that invites you to step away from noise and return to something more essential.
With its natural swimming spots, sauna, and open spaces for gathering and solitude, the land itself becomes part of the experience — holding and supporting the retreat in a way that feels both grounding and expansive.

Dream your own Oracle Workshop
Across cultures, people have used cards and symbols to think about change, cycles, and the unknown. In this workshop, we’ll explore this rich history together and take some time to get to know the archetypes, images and symbols that are uniquely ours.
There will be some gentle movement and guided visualisation and reflection. Time to slow down. Time to notice what has been circling, shifting, or asking for attention.
From there, you’ll be invited to collage a card of your own using recycled papers, images, and simple materials. The cards we create might hold a quality, a question, a threshold, or a reminder.
If you’d like, you can bring your own tarot or oracle deck for others to explore. You might also bring a journal if you keep one, and crafty bits you enjoy working with (perhaps you could collect and press some spring/ summer flowers!). There will be plenty here, so please don’t feel you need to bring anything - coming as you are is more than enough :)
“God spoke today in flowers, and I, who was waiting on words, almost missed the conversation.” - Ingrid Goff-Maidoff
